Philanthropy
| Delta Gamma is an organization that prides itself upon its “Do Good” motto. DG’s nationwide philanthropy is, Service for Sight, an organization that provides assistance to the visually impaired. In spring 2009 DG’s at KU completed a combined total of over 2,000 hours of community service. The Beta Kappa Chapter of Delta Gamma hosts two major philanthropic events each academic year to benefit Service for Sight. |

Anchor Splash®
| In the fall, Delta Gamma at the University of Kansas sponsors a charitable event for the public. Anchor Splash is a swimming competition in which other Greek chapters and non-Greek organizations or individuals compete in relay races, synchronized swimming, and other various events. The winning teams, in the past years, have received prize packages that often include gift certificates donated by local Lawrence businesses. This event has been known to raise thousands of dollars for Service for Sight nationwide. |

Delta Jamma
| Spring semester is when the Beta Kappa Chapter hosts a battle of the bands competition, Delta Jamma. The first Delta Jamma (formerly Battle of the Bands) was held in the fall of 2006. After a huge success, Dee Gee decided to make the event a regular philanthropy. The Delta Jamma competition provides the opportunity for local bands to showcase their talent and to compete for a cash prize and/or recording studio time. All proceeds are donated to the Delta Gamma Foundation: Service for Sight. In spring 2009, Delta Jamma was held in the Beta Kappa parking lot and carried out its theme as a music festival. The benefit raised over $8,000 for Service for Sight. |

Tables That Bloom
| Every initiated Delta Gamma has a life-long membership. After women graduate from college, they still have a close bond to everything that is Dee Gee. The Greater Kansas City Alumni have proven that post-college Delta Gamma pride by hosting Tables That Bloom. This very unique and successful event started in 2004 and is held in Kansas City in the spring. A luncheon is decorated with extravagant floral center pieces by numerous designers. A silent auction for the pieces and accessories is one of the many activities that go on during the occasion. Tables That Bloom benefits the Delta Gamma Foundation, Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired, and Alphapointe. |

Rock Chalk Revue
| RCR has been a University of Kansas tradition for over 60 years. Every year, student organizations (predominantly Greek Organizations) pair up for this widely known philanthropy and put on a musical. A fraternity and sorority pair composes original songs, lyrics, and dances for a theatrical production to benefit the United Way in early spring. During the 2008-2009 academic year, RCR raised over $60,000 for charity. This year, Delta Gamma is paired with the men of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and look forward to a successful year in Rock Chalk Revue. Dee Gee is also proud to have one of its members, Meghan Puhr, as the Executive Producer for RCR. |

Sigma Chi Derby Days
| The men of Sigma Chi Fraternity host their annual Derby Days philanthropy in the spring. The weeklong benefit includes scavenger hunts, various events on Wescoe Beach, Sigma Chi Sweetheart, a dodge ball tournament, and a banner competition. The sorority that accumulates the most points for winning/ participating in the contests wins a social event with the men of Sigma Chi. This year, Delta Gamma is the proud winner of this philanthropy and is excited to have helped the fraternity benefit Children’s Mercy Hospital. |
